This Association was in very poor shape when they contacted Design Build Associates. Their buildings leaked from the roofs, the stucco, the balconies, the windows and the sliding glass doors. They were dealing with mold issues and threatening litigation. We immediately developed a scope of work for them that would address the entire exterior envelope and stop the water intrusion. We assisted them in explaining the issues to their homeowners and helping them to pass an assessment and then obtaining a loan so they could afford to move forward with the project. With new roofs and a clean tight exterior, they no longer have to worry about the Malibu weather and the old problems they experienced when it would rain. During the Malibu Fires of 2007, the fire threatened the buildings. They give credit to the recently renovated new exterior finishes that the buildings were spared from the fire. Their landscaping was destroyed, but the buildings were untouched.
